Hungry for dinner? This bar and backyard eatery has food trucks and an authentic Denton feel. It is a five minute walk from Monroe Pearson and is in the heart of downtown.
LSA Burger Co.
This place has the best burgers in Denton! Artsy, Texas feel with an outside eating area on the roof. Also in Denton's downtown, making it a quick hop, skip, and a jump from Monroe Pearson.
Klyde Warren Park
If you want to experience downtown Dallas, this is the way to go! This park has been built pretty recently and covers a major highway going through downtown. There are food trucks available and it is incredibly close to the Dallas Arts District. This is my family's go-to Dallas destination! (Bring sunscreen and water for sure though).
Dallas Museum Of Art
FREE and full of beautiful Dallas art!
Bishop Arts District
There's plenty to explore in Bishop Arts....my parents and I personally LOVE the Espumoso coffee shop and Emporium Pies. You really can't go wrong here. If you're wanting to experience REAL Mexican food (and Mexican seafood), you can also go to La Calle Doce. When Christian came down to Texas for Easter break in 2017, we took him here!

Also a spot we hit when Christian came down to Texas for Easter. Nominated best burgers in Dallas...my family agrees.

My mom and I LOVE this restaurant. It is a farm-to-table place with a great rooftop access and a view of the Dallas Skyline.
Reunion Tower
Commonly known as Ball on Stick (by Christian), this is the place to go if you're in Dallas. Tickets are about $17 to go to the top and it is a complete 360 view of Dallas and the metroplex. Beautiful especially during sunset hours. We think you'll fall in love with this gorgeous city.
Galleria Dallas
Looking for a place to do some shopping while in Dallas? We personally recommend the Galleria. Its huge, there's iceskating, what more could you want?
Mesquite Championship Rodeo
Want a Texas experience? This is for you. Bring your cowboy hat and boots and come visit the Mesquite Rodeo. It's only 15 minutes from my house so keep that in mind! Tickets are $20-$38.
Dallas Zoo
Love animals? Dallas has some ;) Tickets are $15 for adults.
Globe Life Park
We love our Rangers! Tickets are anywhere from $8-$30! There will most likely be games going on during the weekend, so feel free to check it out!
Frisco Rough Riders
Texas and Minor League Baseball. One of my family's favorite combination. This park is beautiful and will really provide you with that old timey Texas feel. Tickets are about $8-$30.
The Dallas Arboretum
Sweet memories have been made here! It is gorgeous to say the least. It may be a little hot though in the Texas heat but the flowers are beautiful. Talk to us about tickets if you are interested!
JFK Memorial Plaza
If you're in the historical mood, this is an important place to go. You can see where Kennedy was shot, the plaza dedicated to his memory, as well as the sixth floor museum.
Dallas Holocaust Museum
We have personally never been here, but again, if you are in the historical mood, this would be an important place to visit.
Ft. Worth Stockyards
Feeling like a true Texan? This is an experience like none other. The stockyards are 46 minutes away from Monroe Pearson but are well worth the drive. While there, make sure you visit Sundance Square and the Rodeo.
Ft. Worth Botanic Garden
FREE and only about 47 minutes away from Monroe Pearson.
Six Flags Over Texas
If you're anything like Christian, and you have a passion for thrill rides, this is the place for you. It is approximately 45 minutes away from Monroe Pearson.
Magnolia Market
If you're a woman and you want to get sucked into the world of Chip and Joanna Gaines, you should visit here. It is approximately two hours from Monroe Pearson and one and a half hours from Mesquite, so you may need to plan accordingly. However, if you're traveling from across the country, this may be a place you would want to visit while in Texas! Keep in mind, it's closed on Sundays.
