Traffic

South Florida and especially the Upper Keys can experience heavy traffic. Please keep that in mind when planning your trip timing. Historically traffic heading into the keys tends to be heavy on Fridays and traffic leaving the keys tends to be heavy on Sundays.

Flight

Miami International Airport (MIA)

Miami Airport is located about 80 miles from Islamorada and is approximately a 2-hour drive depending on traffic. MIA is serviced by most major rental car providers. You can connect to the MIA Rental Car Center using the MIA Mover, located on the 3rd level between the Dolphin and Flamingo garages. Use the 3rd level Skyride (moving walks) to access the MIA Mover station. Use the link below to see providers.
