We met thanks to my brother-in-law at my house in New York. I was home from college for winter break, and Zac came by for dinner one night. What I remember from that evening is yelling at Zac because I learned that he didn’t pay attention during college lectures. I also recall winning soundly in a card game. He remembers no such lecture and beating me at aforementioned game. A few years later, we reconnected at a Bible study we both attended. A spark became a friendship, and friendship turned into love... and now, we’ve agreed to disagree on the ethical question of a) paying attention in class and b) who really won that card game. But we do agree on being best friends in love.
