Question

Can we get to the reception venue before 5PM?

Answer

Sure! You won’t be able to access the inside the mansion until 5PM when cocktail hour starts, but you can walk around and explore Harkness State Park, the park in which Eolia Mansion is located. You can explore the perfectly manicured gardens and even walk down to the beach! We intentionally left some extra time between the end of the ceremony in New Haven and the start time of the reception in Waterford so you don’t have to feel rushed getting there.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

Check out the recommended hotels on the “Travel” page for more details. There are a few hotels with rooms blocked off, and we recommend you check those out as they’re in great locations with easy accessibility. Airbnb’s are also plentiful in the area! We highly suggest you book as soon as you can, since this is a holiday weekend.

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

There is plenty of parking at both locations. St Basil Greek Church in New Haven has a parking lot in the back, and Harkness Park has a huge parking lot as well. Upon arrival at Harkness State Park, an attendant will point you in the direction of the parking lot. There will also be a park attendant who will be driving a golf cart between the parking lot and the mansion for anyone who may have difficulty walking.

Question

Will transportation be provided between reception and hotels?

Answer

It will not, which is why we recommend your accommodations be in a hotel near Harkness State Park. Check out our "Travel" page on this website again for more information on the hotel nearby that you can book at a discounted rate as part of our reservation block - this hotel is an easy 15 minute drive from the venue.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Saturday, June 1

Question

Can I take photos?

Answer

We kindly ask that you keep your device off during the actual ceremony at the church, but feel free to take photos after!

For all the days along the way
