Do I have to stay at The Grand at Moon Palace?

Answer

Yes, guest must book within our room block at The Grand Moon Palace. Because our celebration is taking place on the property and due to security issues, outside guests will be denied entry to the property. Staying with the group also allows us to maintain our wedding package and planned events.

Is it safe?

Answer

Yes. The Grand at Moon Palace Cancun is a large private, gated all-inclusive resort with controlled entrances and 24-hour on-site security. The property is set away from the main tourist areas, located more than a mile from the main highway, and sits within an exclusive gated resort complex, which adds an additional layer of privacy and security. Most guests spend their time enjoying the many amenities within the resort property.

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes. A valid passport is required for travel to Mexico. Please ensure it is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates.

How far is the resort from the airport?

Answer

The resort is about 7 miles from Cancun International Airport, making arrival quick and easy. There is free hotel transportation for guests staying 4+ nights. UBER or Taxi's are also available for around $30 round trip.

Is airport transportation included?

Answer

Yes. Guests who book four or more nights receive complimentary airport transportation. For Guests staying less than four nights. Private shuttles are around $49 one way per vehicle (up to 8 passengers). UBER and Taxi's are also available for around $15 each way

When should I book my room?

Answer

We recommend booking early to secure your preferred room type and rate. Rooms may fill quickly due to our group block. All reservations must be booked by May 15th.

We recommend arriving by Thursday, July 30, 2026, to enjoy the resort and settle in.

How many nights should we stay?

Answer

Guests typically stay 4–5 nights, but you are welcome to extend your trip up to 10 days and make it a full vacation. (A minimum 3 nights is required)

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Resort Formal — think elevated summer attire with lightweight fabrics and comfortable shoes. Linen pants, short or long-sleeved button downs, maxi dresses, or cocktail attire.

What is the weather like?

Answer

Warm and tropical. Average daytime temperatures are in the high-80s. Light, breathable clothing is recommended.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors. The ceremony will be under a gazebo. Please plan accordingly.

Are there things to do at the resort?

Answer

Absolutely! The Grand at Moon Palace is an all-inclusive resort offering a wide variety of activities for all ages, including a massive water park with slides and a lazy river, multiple pools, non-motorized water sports like kayaking and paddleboarding, a luxury spa, Jack Nicklaus golf course, fitness center, nightly entertainment, bowling, and numerous 5*gourmet restaurants even a speakeasy with craft cocktails. There is an adults only pool and kids can enjoy supervised clubs and play areas, there are also teen arcade rooms making it perfect for both relaxation and adventure.

Yes! Guests ages 17 and under stay, play, and eat free.

Something came up, is my room refundable?

Answer

Yes, the rate you see is for the "refundable" rate. We hope you don't have to cancel but we do understand some things can not be prevented. You can cancel up to 5 days prior to check in with no charge.
