We're getting married!

We met in middle school and spent years of class together without thinking much of the other. Our class had lots of history together- countless parties, overnight retreats and weeklong trips to D.C. We didn't talk much at all until our last year of class together because, you know, middle school. In high school we stayed in touch somehow. Kept bumping into each other at high school dances, birthday parties and cross country races. Our sophomore year a friend matched us to be each others' date to prom because all of our friends had paired up. He was so easy to talk to, pulled out my chair for me, paid for my dinner. My senior year, he would come visit me at school to "study" together. We'd sit outside with our books open and talk until I had to go to class. We ate bocado burgers on our first official date. "I'm so excited we're doing this." Throw in four more years of school dances, walks to and from classes, ramen noodle dates and here we are. I am thankful for such an unwavering joyful and loving companion to walk me through each stage of my life. Best friends til the end.

One of my closest friends, Kimberly, invited me on a trip to Savannah, Georgia for a couple nights in late July. We had the sweetest girls' trip that was, unknowingly to me, planned and paid for by E. He and his friends stayed in an air-b&b three minutes away and scoped out the place while Kimberly and I were waltzing down Savannah's historic district. Early Friday morning, Kimberly and I headed to Tybee Island Beach to take pictures with the sunrise. There he was walking towards me in a green button-up at 6:40 in the morning. Took my hands in his and got down on one knee!
