We're Getting Married!

Who would have known that a night out to go line dancing with your girl friends would end in meeting your future husband?? It was the beginning of summer, I had just gotten home from college and my friends invited me to go line dancing....I had literally never stepped foot in a line dancing place, but thought to myself, “Why not? Sounds like it could be lots of fun”. We walk into the place, and we weren’t even in there for 5 minutes when this boy comes up to me from what seems like out of nowhere and sticks out his hand and says “Hi! I’m chad.” I shook his hand and told him my name too. He then responded with, “Do you want to two-step?” All I said was “what’s that?” Before I knew it he took my hand and we were out on the dance floor; I had no idea what I was doing and was stepping all over his feet (told him I didn’t know how to dance but he didn’t seem to care haha). Thankfully he didn’t mind me stepping on his toes and we ended up dancing and talking the night away. It seemed like we had known each other our whole lives... 3 weeks later he asked me to be his girlfriend and after one amazing fun filled year flew by, we are getting married!!! God has taught us so much over the span of our relationship, from learning how to navigate a long distance relationship while living in different states (me at school in Phoenix and him at home in Long Beach-lots of FaceTime dates let me tell ya) to balancing time between work, college, church, families and the crazy business we call life. We are so thankful for God’s perfect timing and that He brought us together in the most unexpected way and we’re so excited to share our special day with you! XOXO- the future Mrs. Shelton
