What do I need to bring?

Money for food, souvenirs, and the excursion. Transportation will be mostly covered. Christian here, answering this question based on things I learned during my last trip. -Reception can be spotty based on your provider and travel plan, so bring something that will keep you occupied when you're offline. Portable games, books & magazines, whatever you enjoy. I read most of the Dune trilogy during my previous trip. -Google Translate (or similar) on your phone. At minimum, this can be great for restaurant menus or signs at the airport. Also great for random questions or buying something at the Mercado. -Pesos: get the best rate by finding a low % currency exchange ahead of time. Banks often have the lowest rates, but online exchanges are common now. Most important will be some GOOD walking shoes. Light coat for nights. Otherwise, Jeans, shorts, t shirts. Whatever you're comfortable in! -Boots if you want to explore at El Rancho -Backpack or large purse, we'll often leave the accommodations for a multi-stop trip. -Keep it lowkey: No need to put on a fashion show, especially shiny or expensive stuff like jewelry or necklaces.
