September 2014: Christian and Mike were both asked by a mutual friend to join an indoor co-ed soccer team at the Rochester Sports Garden. Luckily for Mike, Christian was not at the first game to watch his ejection based on bad behavior. However, Mike still came for the second game to cheer on the team, to which he unknowingly met his future bride. Sunday Dinners at the Loria's: Mike's best friend Garrett (aka his best man) would invite Christian and her roommate over for family Sunday dinners before their late night soccer games. Mike, of course watching football and Christian working on her graduate work began to notice each other. Christian in a Sabres hoodie quickly caught his eye. Little did he know she had stolen it from her sister because it was "comfy"...but it's good to report that Mike has now converted her into a fan :) November 4th 2014: After many adventures out with friends, Mike finally built up the courage to ask Christian out on a date. It was a Tuesday and he brought her to their now favorite local spot, Selena's Mexican Grill! It was the beginning of everything. Two Dogs and Four and a Half Years later.... June 18th 2019: Mike brought Christian back to the spot where they had their first date. Again, on a Tuesday. He told her that they were going to celebrate the end of her school year, and even bought her a "You da Bomb" card to congratulate her on another great year of teaching. She had no idea what she was in for. As they sat down on this beautiful day, Mike made a toast and at the end of this toast he got down on one knee and said "Christian Nicole Case...Will you Marry Me?" ... to which she replied, "Thank You".... and then of course, "YES!". Two Years Later... After buying their first home, planning their dream wedding, postponing the big day and riding the crazy wave of the Covid pandemic, they are back!! Mike and Christian are now more than excited to FINALLY be married.. NYE 2021!
