Of course! This is the cool thing about a European destination wedding, you can decide to fly in early and visit another country or you can stay after and explore more of Ireland. It is totally up to you. If you need help planning, we are happy to help!
It will be late Spring/early Summer when we visit. Late May is generally considered one of the drier and warmer periods in Ireland, with long daylight hours. Temperature's are in the mid 60's during the day and cooler in the evening. It is typically sunny with some clouds and always a chance of showers in Ireland.
Short answer, yes. No visa is required. If you do not have a passport, it is a surprisingly easy process but does need to be done well in advance. Also, for those who have a passport, you must make sure it is valid for 6 months AFTER the trip date.
Ireland is apart of the EU, and they use the euro. It is slightly higher than the US Dollar. For example: 10 euros is 11.70 US. However, you do not need euros if you have a credit card, you can use this pretty much anywhere in Europe. If you want some cash in pocket, we recommend you wait to arrive in Europe and use an ATM to withdraw euros using your debit card. The exchange rate at ATM's in their country will always be cheaper than getting euros here in the US before flying. If you have any other questions regarding currency, reach out to us and we can help.
