Question

What airport do I fly into?

Answer

Dublin, Ireland

Question

When is the best time to purchase my flight?

Answer

Best to purchase 6 months in advance. Fly out date should be the evening of 5.25.2027 and it should be an overnight flight. Landing you in Dublin, Ireland on the morning of 5.26.2027.

Question

What dates will we be there?

Answer

Arrival day is 5.26.2027. Departure day is 5.29.2027. The Wedding is 5.27.2027. Make sure to get your flights for the correct dates.

Question

How much are flights typically?

Answer

The best price is $650-$750 per person. It is hard to find it for less but it is easy to over pay. If you look too far in advance, you will see way higher quotes. As well as, if you wait too close to departure time, you will over pay. We will send out emails and text when the quotes are in the best range. Keep an eye out. You can also use Google Flights and select the "track this flight" option to receive emails when the flight prices fluctuate. This way you can catch it at the best rate.

Question

How much do the rooms cost?

Answer

Castle stays will be determined ahead of time and each person will be separately notified. For the ones staying off-site in the Meadowside B&B, rooms run 140-180 in euros. And they sleep 2-3 people per room. Feel free to spilt the cost by sharing rooms with other guests!

Question

Do we need to prepay for our rooms?

Answer

Nope. We are making this so easy, you simply check out at the end of your stay, as you would any hotel or Bed & Breakfast. Just make sure you bring the card you want to use and have your funds set aside for your stay. Easy, peasy.

Question

Can we extend our trip?

Answer

Of course! This is the cool thing about a European destination wedding, you can decide to fly in early and visit another country or you can stay after and explore more of Ireland. It is totally up to you. If you need help planning, we are happy to help!

Question

What will the weather be like in Clonegal, Ireland?

Answer

It will be late Spring/early Summer when we visit. Late May is generally considered one of the drier and warmer periods in Ireland, with long daylight hours. Temperature's are in the mid 60's during the day and cooler in the evening. It is typically sunny with some clouds and always a chance of showers in Ireland.

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Short answer, yes. No visa is required. If you do not have a passport, it is a surprisingly easy process but does need to be done well in advance. Also, for those who have a passport, you must make sure it is valid for 6 months AFTER the trip date.

Question

What type of currency do they use in Ireland?

Answer

Ireland is apart of the EU, and they use the euro. It is slightly higher than the US Dollar. For example: 10 euros is 11.70 US. However, you do not need euros if you have a credit card, you can use this pretty much anywhere in Europe. If you want some cash in pocket, we recommend you wait to arrive in Europe and use an ATM to withdraw euros using your debit card. The exchange rate at ATM's in their country will always be cheaper than getting euros here in the US before flying. If you have any other questions regarding currency, reach out to us and we can help.
