Our love story began in the digital world, where swiping left or right, or in this case, following a cute boy, is the modern-day equivalent of fate. After our first Facetime call, we knew we had to meet in person. Our first date was a comedy of errors. Despite being incredibly hungry, I was far too nervous to eat. Meanwhile, Mason was so flustered that he forgot to turn off his car, leaving it running in the parking lot. Although I believed the story and would still believe that he had a push to start key to this day, the man is honest nearly to a fault and came clean our next date. Looking back, we laugh about all of the embarrassing moments. All of these moments were the beginning of something beautiful. As our relationship grew, we found comfort in the handwritten love notes hidden in top drawers, the photo booth pictures we took every Tuesday at trivia night which would eventually be tucked into car visors. The butterflies that Mason had to google because they just wouldn't go away, no matter how much he knew I loved him. Building leggos while watching harry potter together for the first time. These are the moments we retreat to as we talk about our love and its many stages. We look back grateful that it led us here. We look forward to celebrating our love with all of you and can't wait to see what the future holds.
