It all started on a 100-degree day in August 2018, when we both braved the heat and had our first date at an outdoor beer garden in Astoria, NY. We met on Hinge and, to our pleasant surprise, were true to how we portrayed ourselves in our profiles and not two 50-year-olds (or something equally as weird). Since then, we’ve had countless laughs, adventures and enjoyed too many hours of Netflix. We’re so excited to share our wedding celebration and marriage with you all!

We were engaged on November 23, 2019, at Bear Mountain State Park in NY. It was our first Saturday free in a few weeks, and Tim wanted to get out nice and early to start the day. Christa, who usually gets up out and early, decided to take her time getting ready to go since she thought they had nothing to do that day but the hike. Since they got a slow start to the day, Tim (quite literally) runs up the mountain until they get to a small, quiet clearing almost at the top. Christa thinks they are stopping for a water break, but they stopped so Tim could propose. Instead of continuing up the mountain, they turn around because Tim has something else planned. After falling a few times and getting lost down the mountain, they finally get to their next stop: a small surprise engagement party at Tim’s parents’ house with both families.

We were married in an intimate ceremony and outdoor dinner with our immediate families. We were so thrilled that many of you were able to share the ceremony with us via live stream!
