We met through the introduction of two of our closest friends, Devon and Katherine, who had just begun dating at the time. Our first date took place in downtown Fredericksburg, where we wandered through the shops, shared plenty of laughs, and enjoyed dinner together. The following evening, not wanting the time to end, we met again and spent hours walking and talking late into the night. Just a few days later, Izaak left for 35 days, and when he returned, we picked up right where we left off. After another date, we made it official—and the rest is history!
