You will not regret a trip to French Custard. It's around the corner from our house which is very dangerous. Our favorites are Salted Caramel Pretzel, Peanut Butter Mud Pie and an unexpected standout... Honeycomb! Simple and delightful. You can't go wrong there, though.
Apparently we're really in to French Places here... This is in a different really nice part of town, Prairie Village. If you find your way over there, this place is a must go.

If you're staying downtown this is a great place to have a drink and a bite to eat. The bar sort of feels like you're in the big machine Will Smith was taking down in Wild Wild West.
If you're staying near the plaza and are a little indecisive on what you want to eat this is a great place. A small chain with a menu that is very Chili'esque but they do everything really well - including Margs, Nachos, and Enchiladas. This location is nestled in downtown Brookside, our neighborhood that we adore!
Super vibey cocktail bar, one of our favorites! Located in Crossroads, we recommend getting a reservation, although they do accept walk ins based on availability.
Very midwest alley bar. No frills, great vibes, smaller menu but they do everything well! One of our favorite spots on a night out. Can get busy with a wait later at night.
Famous KC Jazz bar. Feels like you've gone back in time. Fantastic atmosphere, great cocktails, and live music!
