Christa and Jordan’s story began in the typical fashion now days, meeting online - specifically Match.com. What started as a simple exchange of messages turned into two weeks of continuous texting after which Jordan finally worked up the courage to ask Christa out to dinner and a drink. Unlike Christa, she was running late to the first date and managed to hit every red light along the way. Thankfully, Jordan was understanding and the rest of the date went off without a hitch. Over several years, an uncountable number of dates and adventures, hours of texts and conversations and enjoying each other’s company, Jordan and Christa realized that their relationship had grown into something incredibly special that neither of them expected. During those first few years, they had found in each other the type of partner, support, and love they both had always longed for.

Fast forward 6 years and needless to say, Christa was starting to get anxious and would drop 'subtle' hints (like invites to Pinterest boards for engagement rings) anytime the opportunity presented itself. Little did she know that Jordan had a plan. What started as a fly fishing trip with Christa’s family to a secluded ranch coordinated by Matt (Christa’s brother) turned into the most perfect day. After several hours of fishing, Christa saw Jordan walking towards her. In typical fashion, he points to a knot in his fishing line and asks with a smile, “Will you help me get the knot out of my line?”. Thinking nothing of the frequent request, Christa begins to unravel the mess; a quick pull here and push through there and soon the line was knot free. Jordan pulled out a fly box and asked Christa if she could pick out a fly and tie it on for him. Since this request was also quite routine and knowing Jordan was eager to get back to fishing, Christa didn’t think twice. Seconds after she opened the box and read “Marry Me?” written inside and a ring situated amongst the flies, she put it all together. When she looked up Jordan was on one knee holding her actual ring.
