What does one look for in a woman... a person who will walk alongside them and who puts them in a state of peace... Well, I finally found mine a year ago. Little did I know I saw her in passing on an earlier visit to New Bern. Being with the one (I knew from early on), your mind is just at ease, no tension and clear communication. Anytime one of us is off, the other can tell and somehow has them smiling in seconds. She is dedicated to everything she puts her mind to and I am in awe more and more with each passing day.
Those that are close to me know that I don't really date. It took someone special to catch and keep my attention. Would you believe that Jared did just that and that is why I asked him out on our first date. Before the first date even arrived, he asked me on a second one. Whether bold, confident, or just excited, I thought it intriguing that a guy would ask me on a second date before we had even had a first date. I mean, I think I'm great, but he had yet to really get to know me. Dating became challenging for this independent woman who has been used to calling all of the shots and running at high speed with high productivity. Even with my crazy workaholic tendencies, this man still wants to marry me. Many times he has thanked me for not being a bum. He reminds me to slow down once in a while. He is the calm to my storm, and he gives the best hugs. I'm looking forward to figuring out this crazy thing called life with him by my side.
