Morristown is a lively historical small town in northern New Jersey. The town has an attractive downtown featuring historical churches, outstanding restaurants and shops. Morristown is worth a getaway weekend all by itself but you could utilize the opportunity of our wedding to enjoy a little of this hidden New Jersey gem. Morristown downtown revolves around the Green, a lush park in the center of town.
The Morristown Line is an NJ Transit commuter rail line connecting Morris and Essex (Newark, NJ) counties to New York City, via New York Penn Station or Hoboken Terminal. It is one of the two routes that make up the Morris & Essex Lines, alongside the Gladstone Branch. NJ Transit Morristown Line operates a train from Morristown to New York Penn Station hourly. Tickets cost $8–13 and the journey takes 1h 10m. The train from Morristown to Newark, NJ takes about 50 minutes and costs around $10.
