Juliana Alvey

Juliana has known Chrissy for their entire life. Being 15 months apart, they have been best friends since Chrissy was born. Julie lovingly called Chrissy “Baby” for the majority of their early years, until Chrissy started stealing her barbies and wouldn’t follow her directions anymore. Chrissy followed Juliana to Rockhurst University, where Juliana was also friends with Brian’s sister Alli. The two girls introduced Brian and Chrissy when they lived together their junior year and Brian and Chrissy were freshmen. Chrissy and Brian are forever indebted to Juliana and Alli for introducing them when they were wee babes. Now, they live together until Chrissy abandons her to live with Brian. Julie is so excited to stand next to Chrissy as “Baby” gets married!
Rend Schindler
Best Man
Rend and Brian have known each other since the 3rd grade. Having attended the same grade school, high school (Go Cadets), and college, they have become friends for life. Some favorite memories range from high school indoor soccer games and hiding beer from the university police, to derailing and climbing an upside-down train in Nepal and discovering the lost statue of El Dorado. Rend met Chrissy at Rockhurst University when she brought snacks to their intramural softball games. Their friend groups became close by having Wednesday movie nights in the Corcoran dorm rooms, and when Chrissy and Brian started dating she became a second roommate. Rend cannot wait to see his best friend marry the love of his life.
Paige Grasso

Paige and Chrissy went to Rockhurst University together where they were both members of Alpha Sigma Alpha and were roommates their junior and senior year. Paige was also friends with Brian in high school when they were on the same sand volleyball team during the summers. So excited to see two friends become husband and wife!
Alex Erbs

Alex and Brian met in high school at CBC where they played volleyball together for all four years. In college, they went to different schools but always caught up during breaks, which is where Alex first met Chrissy. After college, for a brief period, Brian and Alex ended up back in St. Louis. They spent their time together playing sand volleyball and running Alex's chain of storage facilities. He is looking forward to celebrating the two best people around.
Mariana Alvey

Being her younger sister, Mariana has known Chrissy since birth, though she doesn't recall that particular moment. Growing up, Mari always wanted to impress Chrissy, and shared more with her because Chrissy is lighthearted, sarcastic, never bossy, and she will help if you're having a hard time. These are qualities Mariana admires in a friend, and because of this, she made Chrissy her confirmation sponsor. The first few times Mari met Brian were a little rough (she was usually fighting with siblings or stressing about homework), but the summer that Brian moved in before Mari moved out, they got to know each other over breakfast in the mornings. Mari quickly learned that Brian was very funny and easy to talk to!
Ryan Crawford

Ryan and Brian met early in their first semester at Rockhurst University. They quickly became friends and both joined Pi Kappa Alpha at Rockhurst. Brian and Ryan also lived together their sophomore, junior, and senior years in college. Ryan met Chrissy when her and Brian started dating freshman year. He cannot wait for the wedding and could not be happier for both of them.
Analisa Alvey

Analisa has known Chrissy just as long as she's known herself, being her older sister of 8 years. Analisa grew up admiring Chrissy as any small child does. Although not close in age, Analisa will always have fond memories of them together, considering Chrissy was really the only sane sibling of the bunch. Analisa will always remember the day when Chrissy came home and admitted to having a boyfriend her freshman year of college. The family didn’t let her live it down and teased her for weeks, and truthfully, she’s still teased to this day. Throughout the years Chrissy and Brian have been together, Brian has become an extension of the family, and Analisa couldn’t be happier to officially make him apart of the family. Analisa still admires Chrissy for being a positive example in her life.
Joseph Alvey

Joseph and Chrissy have been friends since birth. They were the most sane of the Alvey kids and took solace is this fact. She was the peace maker when war between siblings was inevitable, even when the girls deserved it. Joseph followed her advice and attended Rockhurst University, where she introduced him to her boyfriend Brian (and supplied Joseph his first adult beverage). Brian and Joseph immediately got along as he introduced him to the most excellent fraternity known to man, Pi Kappa Alpha, and Brian became his big brother in the fraternity. Joseph looks forward to being the crazy uncle for their kids, and promises to teach them the ways of warfare, marksmanship, and KC sports. He is ecstatic that they have found each other and wish them the best of luck in their marriage.
Erin Keehn

Chrissy and Erin met before they can even remember. They went from BFFL’s (best friends for life) to running cross country and track & field together in high school, and Chrissy now acts as Erin’s friend with the additional title of “aunt” for her little girl. Chrissy stood by Erin's side on her wedding day, and she's so excited to be able to do the same for her BFFL in October!
Steven Amrein

Steven and Brian met during their first week at Rockhurst. Their friendship continued to grow through rushing Pi Kappa Alpha, countless games of Mario Kart, and capturing an unprecedented number of intramural volleyball championships. Steven fondly remembers their three years of living together in college and their shared love of Gates Nooners. Steven and Chrissy also became close friends from the many criminal justice & political science classes they took together. He cannot wait for 10/10/2020!
Audrianna Christy

Audrianna and Christiana have been friends literally as long as they can remember! From co-op, knitting projects, and weekly phone calls to high school retreats, experiencing college firsts and now being in each other’s weddings, they have been through so much of life together. It has been such a joy seeing her grow in her relationship with Brian and falling in love. Audrianna can’t wait to see what God has in store for their future together and is so excited to continue this lifelong friendship with Mr. & Mrs. Shambro!
Ryan Pannullo

Ryan and Brian became friends at Rockhurst University when they lived next door to each other in Corcoran Hall freshman year. They then went on to became roommates sophomore year in THV 405. They have also competed in many intramural sports together along with playing on the same sand volleyball team over the summer. Ryan also met Chrissy at Rockhurst where they were all in the same friends group. He cannot wait to celebrate such a special couple on their wedding day!
