As many of you know, our home is from the late 1800’s and we are undergoing renovations. The interiors are a hard work in progress and unfortunately old farm cottages were not built with large weddings in mind, so with that said the party will take place in the great outdoors.
Our ceremony will take place in the woods on our property, the location is roughly a quarter mile from the bus drop off point. We would say this is a ‘Beginner Trail’, but the path does include some small inclines which can be difficult for some. Depending if you are a city slicker or a park saunterer, the hike can take anywhere from 5 - 15 minutes.
October in the Catskills means anything can happen in terms of weather. It can feel like summer, winter or somewhere in between. We kindly ask guests to dress accordingly, bring along a jacket, and bring an umbrella in case of torrential downpours. This will be an adventure. Guests are welcome to get creative with their attire. For the ladies, we ask that you wear comfortable footwear. Suggestions: Flats, Wedges, Blocky Heels. As we mentioned, there is a small hike, so wear stilettos at your own risk.
We do not have ample parking space for all of our guests. All guests will have to arrive via shuttle. Buses will depart from Winwood Inn & Condos, Christman's Windham House, and the Zoom Flume Parking Lot nearby for those who choose not to stay at the above hotel accommodations. Closer to the wedding date, we will reach out to all guests by email to coordinate pick-up and drop-off points.
