Mj's Raw Bar and Grille

Mj's Raw Bar and Grille

One of our favorite restaurants in town, try the crab cake or seafood pot pie. Casual & laid back, known for seafood but has a little bit of everything on menu.

Cypress Hall

Hanger Steak, Brisket Burger, Apple Pecan Brussel Sprouts, Smoked Deviled Eggs, Collards & Smoked Ham...just some of our favorites. Always check out the daily specials and don't skip Mema's Famous Strawberry Cake.

Birthplace of Pepsi Cola

Birthplace of Pepsi Cola

New Bern is the birthplace of Pepsi-Cola! There is a small museum that is fun to walk through, grab a Pepsi, and enjoy some fresh popcorn.

Tryon Palace

Tryon Palace

529 South Front Street, New Bern, NC 28562

New Bern was North Carolina's First State Capital. If you love history, check out the Governor's Palace, history center & beautiful gardens. Bonus-if you like the show/book Outlander, Tryon Palace is a key location! They even have specific Outlander tours available.

Mitchell Hardware

Founded in 1898, Mitchell's is an authentic working hardware store in the heart of Downtown New Bern offering home goods, garden care, and unique gifts.

Carolina Creations

One of our favorite stores, full of beautiful local artist's work.

New Bern Farmers Market

New Bern Farmers Market

421 South Front Street, New Bern, NC 28560

Open on Saturdays from 8-2pm. Great selection of local produce, plants, farm raised meats, baked goods, arts and crafts, and so much more. One of our favorite vendors is a local couple who handpaints beautiful glassware products including butter dishes, oil olive bottles, wine glasses, soap dispensers, etc. We have several pieces in our home.

The James Drinkery

The James Drinkery

317b Pollock Street, New Bern, NC 28560

We love grabbing a drink here! It's tucked away down James Reed Lane. Our favorite bartender Brittany is always creating new seasonal drinks. Try the beetlejuice or campfire smores old fashion.
