It all began with a blue-eyed, blonde-haired beauty wearing pink Abercrombie leggings organizing her locker before the first bell in the 7th grade. Naturally, it took me 2 months to talk to her and 3 months before I asked for a hug. Fate would have it that we had some classes together and after a thousand peeks and looks in her direction, I finally had the nerve to ask Alexa Keane Steffl out on a date. It wasn’t long until I knew that this girl was simply magic, so much so that I literally wrote Alexa Keane Karkazis on the chalkboard in the 8th grade. 
Years later Alexa and I were both working in Chicago in the summer before our last year of college, and fate stepped back in. Alexa spotted me on the train back home from work, and in true Alexa fashion, she decided to march on up to me and ask ME out on a date that summer. Those of you who know my beautiful bride to be well, when she sets her mind to something, she gets it! And I’m so glad she did that day, because the rest is history.
