The Wedding Website of Jennifer Everson and Christopher Foelker
For those of you traveling both near and far, there are many options to meet your preferences! You have choices to stay in White Salmon or Hood River. *We highly recommend that you please book lodging as soon as you have a travel plan. Many AirBnB's have excellent and flexible cancellation policies if you need to adjust. This region is a popular destination in June, so the good spots often get snagged by winter. *There is FREE on-site camping at the wedding venue in the large field behind the ceremony and reception grounds. BYO tent/sleeping materials. Bathrooms inside the house. Let us know if you want to borrow any tent/sleeping gear.

Flight

Portland International Airport (PDX)

If you are flying into Oregon, you will fly into Portland International Airport (PDX). From there you can rent a car for the duration of your drive and stay in the Columbia River Gorge. Remember to take a photo of your feet on the PDX carpet! #pdxcarpet

Rental Cars PDX

A car will be needed to get from PDX to the Columbia Gorge region. We encourage carpooling to cut the costs and would love to help put people in touch when their flight itinerary gets finalized.

Travel Note

Drive from PDX to Columbia River Gorge

The drive from PDX to the gorge is 1 hour. Take 84 East & either remain on 84 E or take the Historic Columbia River Highway. This is an approximately 75-mile-long scenic highway. Try to leave time for a stop at Multnomah Falls, Crown Point, Bridge of the Gods, or Rooster rock.

*There is a $2 bridge toll to cross over between Washington and Oregon. The wedding events will do so a few times and depending on which side your lodging is. Please bring cash for this*

House Or Rental

AirBnb

In the immediate area surrounding the venue, there are many Airbnb (www.airbnb.com)and short-term rental options (www.vrbo.com). They range from tiny homes, rustic riverside cabins, and modern mansions. Please note that the Columbia River Gorge is a popular place in the summer and reservations go quickly. Also of note, many Airbnb options don't show far in advance when you search by dates. Searching without dates and then contacting the host to secure the date would be your best bet. Please feel free to contact Chris or Jen if you would like help in the booking process- we are seasoned vets.

We love this quirky hotel just east of White Salmon by about 14 miles. We stayed here in July 2021 and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The Hotel is European style with 10 private guest rooms upstairs with private restrooms and bath's across the hall. It is not for everyone given the lack of a bathroom inside the room iteslf.
