As we are both currently residing in Singapore, the solemnisation will take place in Singapore. However, we will be having the church blessing and western wedding festivities in the UK. There will also be a traditional Chinese tea ceremony and banquet in January for our friends and relatives in Singapore.
As we would have a few traditional elements to our wedding, we thought this might be helpful to prevent any culture shocks! 1) Attire: We would generally advise for our guests to follow the smart casual or formal guidelines on their invitations. Ladies are advised against head to toe black outfits ( pairing with coloured shoes or accessories is fine ) as it is generally associated with funerals in the Chinese culture. 2) What is a Chinese tea ceremony?
