We're excited to celebrate our special day with you!

Niklaas attended his matric farewell on the 20th of September 2013. My cousin, Christina was also at the event, so it was by chance that I was there the same night, due to a trip we had to take to Mozambique together the next day. Us girls were standing at the door to the hall as the matrics arrived. My eye got caught by this handsome young man in the queue, so I asked Christina if she knows who he is. She told me that his name is Niklaas, and I told her that this is the guy who I will marry one day. Little did we know that we will indeed be walking down the isle on 27 February 2021, more than 7 years later. After seeing Niklaas that night, we only saw each other in passing, and only met again face to face on 9 November 2016, when he came to my place of work. I thought that Niklaas was the friendliest client ever. It still took Niklaas till 25 March 2017 to convince me to have a drink with him and then the visits became more frequent. After another 2 months Niklaas had enough courage to ask me to be his girlfriend and finally decided on 23 August 2020 that he will ask me to marry him. Niklaas was very nervous, but I had no doubt in my mind that I would say YES! We are both so excited about our future together.
