What is the weather like in Richmond during the month of October?

Answer

Virginia weather is unfortunately quite unpredictable! Last October, it was pretty warm (in the 70s/80s some days!), but there were some days that were cooler as well. We highly recommend packing layers to easily adapt to any unexpected weather changes! Since our ceremony is outside, bringing an umbrella may be a good idea as well, just in case. :)

Can I bring a date/plus one to the wedding?

We kindly ask that you do not bring any additional guests not listed as part of your online RSVP. Thank you so much!

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

While we LOVE kids (and your kids!), our wedding will be adults-only. We are hoping that our special day can be a fun "date night" opportunity for parents to enjoy together!

What is the suggested attire /dress code?

Answer

Above all, we want our loved ones to feel comfortable and stunning in whatever you choose to wear! We think that suggested attire for the wedding could best be described as "semi-formal." Where at Maymont are the ceremony and reception?

Answer

If you park /enter through the parking lot on Hampton Street, you will be directed to the ceremony location at the Blue Atlas Cedar tree. After the ceremony, guests who drove will move their cars to the Robins Nature Center for the reception. The path to the Nature Center is also walkable for folks who did not drive their own cars!
