We are so excited to announce that we have made the happy decision to get married! If this was a normal time, we would be sending you a save the date for a beautiful ceremony, followed by a festive reception with dancing, music, and delicious food. Unfortunately, we are living in the midst of a global pandemic. We have thought long and hard about how we can safely celebrate our love, while also keeping you, our dear friends and family, safe. We are also aware that Brenda's family is unable to travel due to the pandemic, and many of you may not be able to join us because of your own health, or understandable concerns about possible exposure at a gathering. With all this in mind, we want to share our plans with you. First, we have decided to postpone our big, beautiful wedding until 2022, when we hope this pandemic will be behind us, and we can all safely gather together. Stay tuned for an invitation to our fantastic wedding, on a beach in Mexico. This is a long time to wait, however, so we've decided to have a much smaller event to mark our legal marriage. Our number one priority is keeping all of you safe and healthy, while also inviting you to celebrate our life-partnership in a safe way. With that in mind, we are planning to gather at Lake Wenatchee State Park. It goes without saying, this is not how we would ideally like to celebrate our marriage. But we are looking forward to celebrating with you all, once it's safe, in Mexico. In the meantime, we would love to celebrate with those that can make it, on the sledding hill. No worries at all if you cannot make it, or if you feel it's safer to stay home. We hope to see you in Mexico instead.
