Question

Do we need to purchase a ticket to the baseball game to get in?

Answer

Yes! We cannot stress this enough: because the wedding is taking place during the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp’s Pride Night game, everyone attending in person will need a ticket to the ballgame. Pride Night helps support River City Pride, which means a great deal to both Zach and Chris. The Jumbo Shrimp have been incredibly generous in allowing them to get married on the field during the game, and because of that, they did not feel it was right to ask the club to provide tickets for all of their guests. We know this is a little unconventional, and we apologize for any inconvenience. We truly hope the cost is not prohibitive for anyone who wants to be there, and we would love to celebrate with you in the stands.

Question

How can we meet up with Chris and Zach during the game?

Answer

Chris and Zach will be in the Tiki Bar area during the entire 7th inning so guests can stop by, say hello, give hugs, take photos, and share some love. Because the wedding is happening during an active baseball game, things may be a little fast-moving and wonderfully chaotic, so the 7th inning will be the best planned time to find them and celebrate with them in person. Please come by β€” they would love to see you. πŸ’œ

Question

Do I need to RSVP for the wedding? What about the reception?

Answer

For the wedding at the ballgame, an RSVP is not required, but it is appreciated. Because the ceremony is happening during a live baseball game, Zach and Chris may not get to personally see everyone who attends. If you do plan to come, they would love to know so they can thank you properly afterward. For the reception in November, yes, please RSVP. The reception venue has a strict capacity limit, so Zach and Chris need to be careful with the guest count and make sure they do not over-invite. In short: Wedding RSVP: optional, but appreciated. Reception RSVP: yes, please. For the reception in November, yes please. The reception is being held in a place that has a strict max limit and we have to be careful not to over invite.

Question

Is the a reception after the game?

Answer

No, there will not be a reception immediately after the game. Because this all came together rather suddenly, Chris and Zach are keeping their original reception date of November 7, 2026. That way, anyone who is unable to attend the wedding at the ballpark β€” or anyone who wants another chance to celebrate with them properly β€” can do so without having to panic-plan a last-minute trip. More details about the November reception will be shared soon, but please know this: the wedding at the game is not your only chance to celebrate with them. πŸ’œ
