We've extended the invite to our wedding party and closest family to stay at Villa la Selva for 3 nights and all bedrooms are accounted for. There are many Airbnb's and Villas in the surrounding area. The town of Siena (roughly a 30 min drive from Villa la Selva), and Rapolano Terme (about 15 mins away) have more hotel options. Once you have booked a spot to stay, please let us know the address because we will be doing our best to arrange shuttles to and from the wedding.
The earlier you book your flights and accommodations, the better! This is the year of the Jubilee, a special holy year in the Catholic Church that is celebrated every 25 years, which means Italy is expecting more tourists than usual. While it should be a little less busy at the end of October than in peak season, it's still best to book early.
We have invited our closest friends and family and their partners, trying to keep the guest list intimate. We kindly request that only those listed on the invitation attend.
To visit Italy in 2025, as a Canadian citizen, you'll need a valid passport and, starting in the last quarter of 2025, you may need an approved ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) for short-term stays. This system is set to launch in October 2025. Airlines will likely keep us aware of necessary forms to fill out, but it's worth keeping in mind.
The weather is usually mild and can be breezy, with up to 20°C highs during the day and cooler in the evening. You may want to bring a light jacket or scarf to the events, just in case. We will try to enjoy as much of the festivities outside as possible.
There are parking spaces on the property.
Yes, there is Wi-Fi in the rooms and common areas.
