The best airport for our wedding is Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN). Arlanda is Sweden’s main international airport, with direct flights from the UK and easy connections from across Europe.

Train

From the Airport to Söderhamn or HolmsvedenFrom the Airport to Söderhamn or Holmsveden

Once you arrive at Arlanda, the journey north to Söderhamn/Holmsveden is easy and comfortable by train. The closest station to the Airbnb is Holmsveden (15 min) station but you can also go to Söderhamn station (30 min). - Trains depart directly from Arlanda Centralstation, located inside the airport (follow the train signs in the terminal). - Operated by SJ (Swedish Railways). - Journey time: approximately 1 hour 45 minutes – 2 hours. - Trains run regularly throughout the day. - Seats are reserved and trains have luggage space, toilets, and Wi-Fi. We recommend booking tickets in advance via the SJ website or app. PLEASE NOTE: Prices on the train site show up in SEK (Swedish Krona):

If you’d prefer to drive: - Car hire is available directly at Stockholm Arlanda Airport. - The drive to Söderhamn takes around 2–2¼ hours, mostly along the E4. - This is a scenic and straightforward route. A car can be useful if you’re planning to explore the area during your stay.

Söderhamn Station is the closest train station to our wedding location. - From the station, the venue is a short taxi ride. - Taxis are available outside the station, or can be pre-booked. - Travel time is typically 10–15 minutes. We rented an Airbnb for the weekend, with additional rooms available in the adjoining homes. If you’d like to stay in the Airbnb with us (there’s space for our guests), please let us know and we’ll book the extra rooms. If you’d prefer to book your own hotel or Airbnb/make your own arrangements, feel free to do so but you're more than welcome to stay where we are!
