The guest list was shortened to those Chris and Tie have been in physical contact with multiple times since March of 2020. This minimizes the amount of exposure caused by the event and maximizes the safety of the 55 guests. Because of the size of our guest list, there is no need for a negative test result, proof of vaccination, or to fill out contact tracing forms. However, you will need to answer a few health screening questions and have your temperature taken upon entry into the wedding. Also, "dance zone" restrictions have been lifted so we are allowed to dance the night away! Though the CDC has lifted mask mandates for those who are fully vaccinated and Governor Cuomo will adopt the new guidance on Wednesday, May 19th, it WILL NOT AFFECT our wedding in the ways you may think. We will still maintain social distancing protocols when able and we require all of our guests to wear masks unless eating and drinking at their table or playing lawn games outside with those "in their bubble!" Please, be mindful of those who are not yet comfortable being around unmasked people--regardless of their vaccination status. We want everyone to be comfortable and enjoy their time at our celebration!
CASUAL! Super laid back, eating, and going through the timeline of the following day. Make sure you're comfy. Jeans and a button down/nice top are completely encouraged. No need for ball gowns or suits!
Chris and Tie recommend dressing COMFORTABLE! Bring a change of pajamas, if you want! This day is all about having fun and feeling comfy. Sundress? Great! Linen shirt and/or linen pants? Amazing! Flats or sandals? Awesome! Doing your own hair and makeup? Perfect! Khakis and button down? Excellent! No suit jacket? Nice! Honestly, this is an 11 am, daytime wedding that is going to be packed with dancing, eating, and playing games. Keep it comfy.
The ceremony will start at 11 am and Tie doesn't want to wait a second longer to marry her best friend so use your own discretion and please be timely!

In almost all cases except this one! The bride's name is ChrisTIE, just like Christie Brinkley! Tie's siblings called the happy couple "Chris and Tie." Chris and Tie in THIS case rhymes perfectly with "Meant to Bee!"
It's something you've probably asked yourself--what's with all the bees? Well, they met on Bumble. Chris's favorite soccer team is Borussia Dortmund. He treats Tie like a Queen (bee) and he is sweeter than honey. A saying Tie and her mom have always believed in is "Everything happens for a reason," and when Tie met Chris, it felt like everything they had gone through led them to one another. "Meant to be" soon became their catch phrase, as they have seen SO many signs that point to this being exactly where they both were supposed to end up. They both believe in trying to save the Earth and know bees are the building block of our ecosystem. Chris and Tie are always working hard to achieve their goals, much like worker bees. They currently live at the Hive (what they have labeled their first apartment together) and they are both working towards making that honey to have a wedding that lives up to all the buzz!
As the wedding gets closer and people more frequently ask about their love story, one of the most popular questions Tie encounters is "Do you have a moment you knew he was the one?" or "When did you know that this was it?" Tie touches on it a little bit on the homepage about the Bee-ginning, but there is a specific moment later on. Yes, she pretty much had a feeling right away. When they matched on Bumble, something was different. He wasn't what you typically find on dating apps--he was considerate, genuine, and respectful. Fast forward to the end of the first date, Tie called her mom crying in the car because she couldn't believe how well the date went. She told her mom that she thought this could be it, that Chris could be the one. At this time, it was too soon to tell but the moment Tie realized she wanted to spend the rest of her life with Chris was on New Year's Eve of 2018. Chris joined Tie and her family's Polish New Year celebration. While playing Celebrity Charades, Chris dove all in. He didn't hold back being apart of silly, family fun. If Chris could hang with Tie's family, that meant the world to her. That was "the moment" SHE knew it was truly meant to bee.
