Chris and Sara met on the first day of their freshmen year at UW-Platteville. Because Chris was dating Sara's roommate at the time, they became close friends. After year one at UWP, they lost touch until senior year. With two months left of college, they reconnected and the rest is HISTORY! :)

Chris proposed to Sara on July 30th of 2023. Chris took Sara to the prairie to have a picnic. Once they finished their taco bell and wine, they took a walk around the prairie reminiscing on their relationship. About half-way through, Chris got down on his knee. :) What's even better is that Sara's sister, Libby, was hiding in a deer stand to capture that special moment.
