We met April of 2012 at Dos Banderas where we worked as servers. We first spoke on table 61 you know the cliche "How old are you? When is your birthday? Where do you go to school?" kind of conversation. (Our high schools are rivals so that sparked a never ending debate of which school is best.) Shortly after we became the best of friends! After a year of getting to know each other Chris travels to Colombia for a business venture, him being gone during a hard time of my life made me appreciate his friendship more than ever. We kept in touch through Facebook and after three long months I convinced him to come back to the States (more like guilted him). Once reunited we picked up where we left off only the friendship turned into something more on December 14, 2013.
His sister ''gifted" us tickets to the Reunion Tower from her job. I love sight seeing so of course I was excited to go! We arrive to the top floor and I'm just absorbing the views, taking pictures and videos I was so oblivious to my family hiding directly behind me. The tour guide walks us inside where I see a rose petal trail leading to champagne and two glasses. I didn't have time to suspect anything because the tour guide said "Let me take a picture of you two" So I looked up, smiled and in the background I see two tall teenagers that look like my twin brothers. Then as the crowd gets closer I notice it is my family, his family and our closest friends, and Chris down on one knee, I can honestly say that it was such a beautiful surprise.
