Chris and Noelle met in September 2023 over blood orange margaritas and a salsa trio. Just as the bill arrived, Chris "lost" his wallet... and it's safe to say it was clear to both of them, in that moment, that they had something special on their hands. The feeling was compounded by their second date - a trip to the Pearl Street Farmers Market where Chris first met Noelle's dog, Lentil (a petite and fearless gal) - and after which Noelle drove Chris around for half an hour, looking for his parked car while late for an appointment. How the lovers could bear to spend a moment apart from each other after two such electric dates is unclear - but the gears of destiny were obviously in motion. Enter date number three. Dinner comes and goes, and suddenly Chris is feeling "extremely nauseous." Some might say he was sick with love. Some might say he had food poisoning. Either way, what he did soon have was Noelle back home on his couch, right where he wanted her - headshotting aliens with a thermal sniper rifle in Halo: Combat Evolved ("Truth and Reconciliation", Legendary difficulty.) At this point, there was no denying it. Love was in, on, and around the air. (Note - we were advised by our lawyers not to mention the fourth date at all.) So here we are, over two years later. Chris and Noelle now live together in a beautiful home owned by their dog. Noelle balances her role as a superhero NP on the UC Health Palliative Care team with studying for her 7th degree, while Chris is living out his dream of having a garden and somehow getting paid to write stories for video games. We're getting married, and we hope you'll join us!
