Question

What is "formal attire"?

Answer

Gents, if you've got a tux hanging in the closet - dust that bad boy off and see if that thing still fits! Otherwise, dark suit, etc is totally fine. Trying to avoid any uncles showing up in jeans if you catch the drift... Ladies, we're pretty confident that all we need to tell you is to make sure the guys look halfway decent.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Thank your lucky stars it ain't a summer wedding! Ample street parking will be available at both ceremony and reception.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

No time like the present. But we get it, schedules are crazy, football season is back, school is in session. Final headcount is September 26th!

Question

What's the dinner situation?

Answer

Come hungry! While there is no sit down dinner (don't worry there's plenty of tables/seating!), we're fulfilling Chris's lifelong dream of passed apps all night, along with a few stations and the back porch grill serving up dinner and late night world famous (or at least Jersey famous) sliders.

Question

Transportation details

Answer

For those staying at The Breakers or Chateau Inn, we will have buses to shuttle people to the ceremony. Otherwise we recommend Uber/Lyft, or any of the car services below. The shuttles will start bringing people to The Parker House from the ceremony, and will bring people to either afterparty or back to the hotels.

Question

I hear there's a curfew?

Answer

Ah yes, back in 1879 Dr. Richard Seagirt instituted a curfew for the town bearing his name, which prohibits The Parker House from operating past 11pm. Just kidding, I think it was some neighbors. Some might rightfully ask, "why buy a house next to a bar if you don't want people around past 11pm?" - unfortunately I have no answers for you. Some people just don't know how to have fun. Good thing is, we'll keep the party going at Spring Lake Tap house into the wee hours of the night.

Question

What's there to do around Spring Lake?

Answer

Though it's not technically going to be beach season - keep your fingers crossed there's decent enough weather for a nice sweatshirt beach day (my absolute favorite). Downtown Spring Lake has some great shopping (count em FIVE Fahrety stores...) and lunch spots. A walk around the lake (it's a small lake...) is always a treat in the fall as well. If you are on the more fun side, there's bars and brewery's aplenty - we love Bradley Brew Project and Last Wave Brewery (if you can get a Rosies pizza while there buckle up because they are FANTASTIC). If you want to venture up to Asbury Park for the morning there are infinite restaurants and brunch spots. I would not label us as "outdoorsy" people, so take this with a grain of salt, but Allaire State Park looks pretty nice if you like to hike? Looks like poison ivy and bug bites to me, but hey, to each their own. If I were you, I'd probably be golfing in the morning. The county courses are pretty decent - Hominy Hill is a gem but can be a little slow. Charleston Springs is a hike but has two pretty great tracks. Howell Park is an underrated little gem, and I heard they redid a few things recently. It's also right next to the high school which will be hosting Point Pleasant for a little Friday night football under the lights - if you snag an afternoon time it's like the marching band is playing you in for the last few holes. You might see Bel Aire on the way in, but be warned it's a little par 3/4 course that while fun, will only test you so much. I am also happy to try to set people up for rounds elsewhere if I can - just let me know!
