Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail

Hike and bike trail that circles Lady Bird Lake with tons of parking and access points other than this link. Lots of cool sites along the river, city views and little nooks to explore.

Norwood Estate Dog Park

Fenced dog park with skyline views and good doges.

Red Bud Isle

Awesome park and former(?) dog paradise. BE CAREFUL there is a toxic algae that can kill dogs from limited exposure. Red Bud has been closed off to dogs for most of the last year so probably need to keep dogs out of the water unless something has changed. Still nice to walk the short trail and find a spot by the water to hammock and read.

Commons Ford Ranch Metropolitan Park

No swimming, no dogs, no drinking. Great for swimming, dogs and drinking. 20 mins. west of downtown on Lake Austin. There are options for hiking, swimming, picnic, tanning and fetching.
