As of June 2021, here are the current safety measures we have in place for our wedding: --We have reduced the size of our guest list to comply with the State of Maine regulations. [We anticipate the wedding to include around 110-120 people.] --Per the CDC and the State of Maine, you do not need to wear a mask if you are vaccinated. Of course, please wear a mask if you are more comfortable. --Hand sanitizing stations will be provided; please use them liberally! --As of June 2021, 100% of our guests have told us they are or will be fully vaccinated by July 17th! Thank you so much for helping to keep us all safe! --If you are unable to be vaccinated, we will require a Covid- negative test at least 48 hours prior to the wedding. --And of course, please stay home if you aren’t feeling well in any way (especially fever, chills, sore throat, cough, stomach ache). We’ll celebrate with you another time!
Great question, seeing as neither of us grew up here, live here, nor did we meet here. Maine, however, is a place where we love to be. Every time we go, we feel so laid-back, happy, and ourselves. We want to share these feelings with you! Also, Chris proposed in Freeport! So we thought... why not keep these happy, care-free wedding vibes going?
Please try to book your stay ASAP! Like today if possible. Sebago is a really popular area for vacation-goers, and thus, many places have minimum night stays. So the sooner you book, the more likely you'll be able to find a place close by. Please check out the "travel" tab to explore nearby places in Sebago!
Please check out the "travel" tab for some great suggestions. If you don't mind a slightly rustic experience, we would love for you to stay in Sebago or somewhere close by (Naples is close too). If you don't mind camping, we'd love for you to camp on the property Saturday night! If you would prefer a less rustic stay, the closest hotel is in Wyndham (about 30 min from our venue). Portland also has many options, and is about 50 min from the venue.
Yes, we would LOVE for anyone to camp at our venue on Saturday night, keep the party going by the fire, and stay for brunch the next day!! Plan on driving/ carpooling to Garden Gate on Saturday for our ceremony & reception with everything you need to camp. Please bring your own tent & sleeping bag. (If you are flying and don't have room in your suitcase for your camp stuff, let us know and we can try to find you some gear! We have a limited gear for people to borrow.) At some point in the night, you will need to sign a brief waiver from the property owners. Unfortunately, we can't let you set up your tent until after 10pm... don't worry there will be plenty of lighting so you won't be setting up in the dark. Let us know if you're planning to camp Saturday night!
There really is none. (This isn't Catholic school.) The attire is in Molly's words... "barn fancy" ...or in Chris' words... "casual." Shorts and short dresses are most definitely okay! (wink, wink.... Chris has been given Molly's okay to wear shorts & flip flops!) Most importantly, we want you to be comfortable. Our ceremony will be outdoors, in a shaded, woody location. Our reception will be free-flowing between an airy, open barn (unfortunately, without AC) & outdoors on the partially shaded lawn. Please do dress for the weather. Most importantly, be sure to wear your dancing shoes. :)
Yes, plenty. When you arrive, you will be greeted by a valet service who will park your car on the 70-acre property, but out of sight. They will retrieve your car for you at the end of the night.
Please arrive as close to or slightly before 4pm as possible. We hope to start our (short & sweet) ceremony promptly at 4pm.
Yes- on Amazon. Check out our "Registry" tab. You can also search either Molly Horan or Chris McAleer on Amazon's registry page and we should come up!
Please do let us know about your food allergy or special dietary needs (if we don't know already!) so that we can be sure there is something delicious for you to eat. (It really is important to us that you don't go hungry!) We will most certainly have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. Please inform the food trucks before ordering of any allergies and they will be sure to accommodate!
Okay, so you might of heard we were forgoing the traditional catering and having food trucks instead! Some of you might be thinking, "how weird" or "I hope I can find something to eat." Don't you worry about a thing! We've got you covered. We made sure to have plenty of options so that even if you're as picky of an eater as Terry Horan you'll find something you like :) If you're feeling more adventurous, please do try Chris & Molly's favorite food truck-- Tacos del Seoul, a Korean-Mexican fusion truck. We hope you'll love it as much as we do! Or why not a Maine signature- a High Roller lobstah roll. You are encouraged to visit both food trucks and return for seconds if you like. We'll also have "grazing tables" with heavy hor devours, which you can snack from all night long. Yum!
YES! How cool, right? And why not just go ahead and plant them since the "date" is no longer July 18, 2020?! For more information on how to plant, check out this site: www.foreverfiances.com/plantme
