It was fate and a mailbox that brought us together… We lived in the same apartment complex without knowing each other before. We each would get home around the same time and check our mail. After a few times of randomly meeting up to grab our mail, small talk turned into full conversations. One night, Chris got enough courage to ask me over for dinner, and I gladly accepted! He said that he needed one hour and told me his apartment number. As that hour had past I walked over and knocked on his door and he swung it opened, gave me the biggest hug, and invited me in only for me to be swept off my feet! He had candles lit, Frank Sinatra playing softly in the background, dinner was cooking and wine was poured. Needless to say, I was instantaneously wooed and knew this kid was something special.
I am the huge Disney fan and Chris is the avid runner…. What better way for both of us to enjoy what we love, than Chris running a race through Disneyland and I getting to cheer him on, and then we get to spend the rest of the day in the parks?! We grabbed some of our closest friends and headed to Anaheim, CA. That Saturday morning, Chris ran his 10k race and then we all went inside the park. My best friend Kelsey wanted to take pictures of everyone by the castle. Chris and I went first, she took the picture and he then proceeded to get down on one knee, I was so excited that I shook my head and said, “Yes!” I turned to look at Kelsey and low and behold, my mom was standing there… It was my magical moment and Chris was so thoughtful, that he brought my mom to be there to see her baby girl get engaged! We are so excited to get to spend this magical evening with you all! See you in Arizona!
