Yes, transportation will be provided to and from The Hilton Garden Inn and The Residence Inn. There will be one bus at each location. It'll leave at 2:30pm. The return trips will leave the venue at 9:30pm and 10:00pm.
While we adore your children, we have chosen for our wedding to be an adult only occasion. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
No need for a tux, but dress for a party!
You should stay in Portland! We have transportation from Portland to the wedding venue and back.
Yes.
We are also acutely aware that this is a bit of a wacky time to be planning any sort of gathering, so we wanted to reach out with some information about how we’re minimizing risk, as well as recommendations for how folks can help to make this as safe a gathering as possible. What we’re doing: We’re requiring that all guests at our wedding be vaccinated. We’ve limited the number of kids at our wedding to the bare minimum (our kids!), as a small number of them are not vaccinated. We have verified that all vendors working the event wedding are vaccinated. Our ceremony will be held in an open air, outdoor setting (barring weather). Our reception will be held in a barn with good ventilation. End and side openings will remain open, even if it’s a bit chilly (watch the weather and bring a shawl if necessary). We will have masks available at the wedding for anyone who desires one.
We’re requesting that guests do a quick rapid test an hour or two before attending their first wedding related event, and skip all events if you test positive. We’ve used 15 minute BinaxNOW rapid tests, and they’re relatively quick and easy to administer. Grab one online or at your local CVS, and throw it in your suitcase :) If you’re part of a high risk group, live with someone who is, or just want to be extra safe, please feel free to wear a mask at our wedding. We understand that having a wedding during COVID isn’t an entirely risk-free endeavor, but we feel like we’re taking the precautions necessary to be as safe as we can. We respect your decision to take whatever precautions you feel necessary for you and your families, including choosing to sit this one out. We love all of you and know that if we don’t see you in October, we still get a lifetime of being surrounded by an amazing and loving community - that’s you!
