It all started in the summer of 2021 during an anatomy workshop, because nothing says “romance” like scalpels and skeletons! Marisa thought Chris was funny, handsome, and full of life, while Chris was immediately drawn to her wit, intelligence, and fun spirit. What started as friendship quickly became something more. Study sessions turned into late-night laughs, North Gate outings, and plenty of time spent with their favorite people celebrating every milestone (big and small). By the first Friendsgiving party that November, they finally admitted what everyone else had already noticed. They were meant to be more than friends. Through the ups and downs of veterinary school, they were each other’s biggest supporters. Chris reminded Marisa to slow down and enjoy life’s little moments, while Marisa kept them both grounded and focused on the path ahead. Together, they found the perfect balance. A few years later, during their final externships in Colorado, Chris planned a hike in Rocky Mountain National Park. After ten miles and breathtaking views, he got down on one knee at Lake Haiyaha, the perfect backdrop for a proposal. As if the universe was in on the plan, a wedding photographer happened to be nearby and captured the magical moment. Now, after graduating in 2025, they’ve started their greatest adventure yet, moving to Colorado to begin their careers and build their life together. Their story is one of laughter, teamwork, adventure, and love: the perfect blend of steadiness and spontaneity that makes every day together feel like a new chapter worth celebrating.
