We figured with a large chunk of the Wedding guests coming from outside of California a holiday weekend would give extra time to explore. There is something for everyone in California: Catalina Island, drive up the beautiful coast in Malibu for the beach go-ers, Disneyland, amazing hikes, people watching in Venice or heading up to Ojai for some delicious wine. Santa Catalina Island

A short ferry ride away is Catalina Island. Here you will find a slow town where people only drive golf carts, can lounge at the beach club, hike, Zip Line, or shop around. Good for a day trip or an overnight stay.
