Question

What time can we arrive at the venue?

Answer

Please arrive to the venue no later than 4:30pm but no earlier than 4:00pm. Parking will be free for all wedding guests starting at 4:00pm. The ceremony will begin at 5:00pm.

Where do we park?

Answer

When you enter the park, let the gate attendant know that you are a guest of Chris and Lauren's wedding. Your parking will be covered for the evening. Park at the main lot adjacent to the Baker Exhibit / Visitor's Center.

What should we wear?

Answer

We request formal wear at our wedding. Please feel free to wear gowns, suits, dress pants, etc. You may wish to bring an overcoat as the ceremony is outside.

What if I am not vaccinated?

Answer

Unfortunately due to the impact of COVID-19 still present today, we ask that only fully vaccinated guests attend our wedding. We have several guests with fragile health conditions and we want to keep the space as safe as possible for everyone. If you have not been vaccinated for medical reasons only, you may opt to get a test before arriving to the wedding. A completed vaccine series includes a full dose of a single-dose series, or two full doses of a continuous series, with any qualifying boosters. Thank you for your understanding in keeping everyone safe!

Can we bring alcohol?

Answer

Per North Carolina park service regulations, outside alcohol and liquor is prohibited. Fear not, there is an open bar of beer and wine.

What if I drink and cannot drive?

Answer

The park will not charge cars that are left in the lot overnight. If you choose to drink, please be safe and catch a ride! When you arrive to the park the next morning, simply let the gate attendant know you are there to retrieve your car.

Can we Uber / Lyft there?

Answer

Absolutely! Ride share programs in the area are well aware of how to access the park, and the gate attendants will let them right through.

Can we bring our pets?

Answer

We love fur babies, but please leave them at home this evening.

Is smoking permitted?

Answer

Smoking and vaping are not permitted on park grounds.
