Kristine went with former coworkers from CTK Biotech to a little microbrewery down the street. This particular time there was a new beertender named Chris. Introductions were made and smiles were exchanged. It wasn't until later in 2014 that they started dating.

After a three day cruise to Ensenada, Kristine joined Chris for a work conference in Las Vegas. One evening they went on the very last ride of the night on the High Roller ferris wheel for a romantic ride. They were enjoying an open bar and the beauty of the Las Vegas strip's evening lights, when at the highest point of their ride Chris got on one knee and popped the question.
