The Spanish moss is a dream, however, booking a plantation tour is a necessary and eye opening historical lesson that allows you to take a step back into time and see first hand what occurred. Fun fact, parts of the Notebook were also filmed here. The exterior shots of the mansion were used to depict Allie's summer home. Another fun fact, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynold's got married here.
If you know us, you would know that we are foodies and would not typically go to the same restaurant twice on a vacation due to a desire to try all of the things. However, we loved this restaurant so much that we had to go back and have our last meal there for their Shrimp and Grits. We highly recommend a reservation.
