What do I wear on game day in The Grove?

Answer

It's not a normal tailgate! Ladies wear sundresses. Guys wear polos, button downs, blazers, etc. We dress up for this special occasion!!

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

Depends on your comfort. There are more than enough taxis, Ubers and Lyfts in Oxford to take you to and from the airport, to the reception, the Grove areas, and the store. The drive from Memphis airport to Oxford is about an hour, so a rental car with some friends may be your best bet.

Where do I buy tickets for the game?

Answer

The ticket office said that over the summer they will most likely release group rate tickets. Therefore, anyone from the wedding can buy a ticket at a discounted rate and sit in the same area! Once we buy our tickets, we will update it here so you can get tickets near us!

How do I get to The Grove on game day?

Answer

There are multiple parking areas that will bus people to The Grove area. You can either walk from there or hop on a bus. You can also purchase parking passes for different lots on campus that will make for a shorter walk. As it gets closer, we will provide updates in this section on where the buses and parking lots are located and where you can buy a parking pass. We will also let you know where our tent will be for the tailgate!

Are there any alcohol policies in The Grove?

Answer

Yes. Technically, you are not allowed to drink beer in The Grove. However, as long as it is transported in a cooler and drank from a cup, no one will ask any questions. It's safe to follow that policy with all alcohol. Basically, don't be an idiot.

Will there be transportation to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

The bride and groom will not be providing transportation to the wedding venue. However, there are more than enough Ubers and taxis to drive you the short distance from the hotel to the venue. We are working with hotels to obtain a block of rooms. Once we do, we may be able to get a hotel shuttle! The ceremony and reception are in the same place, so you only have to make one trip!

What should I bring to The Grove?

Answer

The tailgate is BYOB. The bride and groom will have some food available. If you want anything special, feel free to bring it yourself!
