In light of recent surges in the State of Ohio, we have decided to host a private ceremony. We will host a larger reception starting at 5 pm at the Community Foundation Pavilion at Foundation Park for all of our guests to attend. We will be in communication with those of you that this decision has made a change to your plans. Please reach out to us if you have any questions.
Ceremony parking may be limited depending on weather. There are approximately 20 spaces available in the back of the chapel in a gravel lot. Parking is not permitted on Quarry Chapel Road or Monroe Mills Road. Weather will determine if extra spaces will be available in a field across the street from the chapel. We encourage you to carpool with members of your family! Parking for the reception is available in the parking lot near Rastin Tower and the Urton Clock House off of Pittsburgh Avenue. The reception is a short walk from the parking lot through Ariel Foundation Park. Those with mobility issues can arrange for a parking spot closer to the building or a drop off location. A park map can be found at: https://www.arielfoundationpark.org/index.php/explore-the-park/park-map If you need to arrange for parking closer to the venue, please contact us ahead of time so that we can give you directions.
Please contact Janea Lewis at (419) 564-7992 or Kristine Jones at (614) 440-2809.
You can reach out to us with your needs and we will pass it on to our caterer.
The ceremony begins at 3:30. We recommend to accommodate for parking and getting seated to arrive by 3:15 at the latest. If you are attending the ceremony virtually, the live stream will also be available at 3:15.
We are working with our venues and vendors to abide by all recommendations set forth by the State of Ohio to ensure the safety of our guests, HOWEVER your health and well being are the absolute most important thing to us. While we would love for all of the people we love to come to celebrate with us, we are fully aware that there are many risks that our guests will have to consider. We want to assure you, as the people we love the most, that we do not have any expectations around attendance and completely understand if you choose to not attend. All of that said, we will have our ceremony and reception available on a livestream through our wedding website. Click on “Schedule” and then select “Go to Virtual Event”. If you are viewing on a mobile device or tablet, you will want to download the Zoom application to attend the virtual event.
Yes! Please contact the Mount Vernon Grand Hotel and mention “Hulse Wedding” to get a discounted rate on their rooms. There are a limited amount of rooms in the block and reservations are open with the block discount until October 7th.
Due to the ever changing regulations around COVID 19, we definitely understand that plans may change weekly, if not daily. Please try to RSVP prior to October 1st, 2020. If your plans change after that date, you can always update your information by calling or texting Kelli at 502-689-3290 or updating your RSVP on the website! If you will be attending virtually, please only RSVP “yes” to the virtual event. This will help us know how best to seat people to be able to socially distance.
Our venues have suggested limiting children in attendance due to social distancing requirements. At this time, we are planning to heed that advice and only invite children of family members and children with roles in the wedding. Thank you for understanding!
Hand washing stations will be available as well as hand sanitizer at each table. We will provide cotton masks for people to wear. Food and drink will be served in portions and not in a buffet. Our venues have asked us to abide by Ohio’s mask mandate. Please plan to wear a mask other than when you are drinking or eating. If you are sick, have had contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID 19 or have had any symptoms in the last 14 days, we ask that you attend virtually.
We're lucky to already have a home full of most everything we need, so we aren’t expecting gifts, however, we have added a few ideas on Zola, Amazon and Honeyfund.
