Love at first sight? Chris and Kelli first met at a Halloween Party that Kelli and her roommates hosted in 2012. Kelli wore a low-effort Tom Cruise costume and Chris wore a Super Mario costume made for a child. They hit it off right away, sharing a similar sense of humor. Then, one of Chris' friends shared some bad news: Kelli was seeing someone at another school and Chris was automatically friend-zoned. Nevertheless, Chris added Kelli on Facebook and the two spent the next 5 years volleying 'likes' back and forth. Flash forward to November of 2017. Chris had just moved to Kansas City and was using the most popular dating app at the time, Bumble, to meet new people. When Kelli's profile flashed across his phone screen, he seized the opportunity to strike up a conversation and ask her to brunch. The Sunday after Thanksgiving, Kelli and Chris went on their first date, where she showed him two of her favorite places in Kansas City. Conversation came easy and laughs were plentiful. On New Year's Eve 2018, the couple made it official. In the six years since, they've moved four times, adopted two cat children, and had countless adventures. They've changed careers, faced a global pandemic, and grieved the loss of Kelli's father. Throughout it all, they've remained best friends and each other's biggest cheerleaders. They believe that there is nothing life can throw at them that they won't come out of stronger together. They are thrilled to invite you to celebrate their love on July 13, 2024.
