We're getting married!

We first met in the summer of 2012 through beach lifeguarding and I instantly had a crush on her. Every time I looked at her, I saw something that was different than anything I had ever witnessed before; something more beautiful than anything else. It took two years, however, before I had the opportunity to pursue her romantically, but once it revealed itself, I ran after it. Even though I didn’t know His voice yet, God told me very early on that “this is it, this is what you’ve been looking for.” That’s when I realized what I had seen years ago was who she was meant to be in my life. She was meant to be a vessel of joy, a tool for growth, and ultimately, an instrument in my salvation. Years later, after struggling with thoughts of unworthiness for her, I began to realize our relationship was meant for more than just us, it was meant for all of those who would know us to see our sacrificial love for one another and when they asked “How? How can you love like this?”, we would be able to respond, “Because He did it first.”
