Little Italy is nice to walk through at night and there are some nice restaurants in the area. On Saturday mornings from 9-2 PM, there is a farmers market where you can get some good food and pastries. It's a great way to enjoy good eats, people watch and get some sun!
Whenever someone visits us, we usually take them to this restaurant. The Asian Fusion food is delicious! We love their garlic wings and house fried rice. They also always have the jams on!
Coronado Beach is one of the nicer beaches in San Diego County. Ocean Boulevard provides free parking, shops and restaurants to visit. The iconic Hotel del Coronado has multiple beach side restaurants and bars along with shops.
We went to Leilani's for the first time back in 2014 about a month into our relationship. (See pic in the Gallery tab) We have been going ever since! We usually go for breakfast or brunch. The seating is outside and it does get busy so get there early or take your food to go! Sometimes we like to eat on the beach only a few blocks away!
If you're looking for warmer water to swim and boogie board/ surf in, Pacific Beach is better than Coronado Beach. We like to go to North Pacific Beach (Law Street Beach). If you get hungry while you're down there, check out Oscar's Mexican Seafood for some yummy fish tacos!
This donut shop was a late night staple when we were in college. It used to be open 24 hours pre-Covid but now it closes at 10 PM. Whenever we are nearby we always stop for a maple bar and a chocolate old fashioned. If you go, tell Connie that Kat & Chris sent you!
Good drinks and fun with nostalgic arcade games. All the games take quarters so make sure you bring cash for the coin machines!
A locals bar near the Gaslamp District and not too far from the Guild Hotel. We have gone here many times for the good food and a little pregame before going to a Padres game.
