Rocky Mountain National Park is one of our favorite places to take out of town visitors. PLEASE NOTE: Some parts of the year require a timed entry park pass. Please continue to check/monitor the site to make sure you can go when you want to. We recommend taking Trail Ridge Road up to the Alpine Visitor Center and then hiking on the west side of the park where you have a higher chance of encountering wildlife, maybe even a moose. The Colorado River trail on the west side is also a good trail for beginners.
