We met on tinder. After quite a few months of talking and a handful of advances, we decided to meet up at a friends house that was right between … roughly a 45 minute drive from the both of us in different directions. He brought his son and I brought my daughter. Our children got along right away looking for sticks in the yard. We chatted and had a great time even though we were both super awkward. We went on a second date to his nephew in laws graduation party in my town, and I met quite a few people in his family. Things were just fitting together. It wasn’t until months later we had realized that we had already shared our first kiss at a concert 3 years prior to finding each other online. I had made a bracelet and taken it to a concert. Then I gave it to him, we kissed, and we parted. Little did we know we would end up spending the rest of our lives together and I would find the bracelet again.
After months of making long distance work and seeing each other at least 3 times a month, spending our days falling deeper and deeper, Chris finally got stuck and could not leave my house until his truck was fixed. On one of the final days of his stay, he had gone to the store while I was at work. When I returned he got down on one knee and pulled out a ring pop to “Pop” the question for the 12th time. I finally said yes. Has since been replaced with a real ring 💍 💜
